Hi there, I just wish to convey how happy my son Shaun is with his helmet cam he got from you guys. He is also really impressed to say the least on your service. I have gone on a few breakfast rides and am amazed at how deft he is with his camera and the handling thereof. It amazes me how easily he can take it off his helmet to do backwards and passing shots from either side of the bike... I have some footage he took of my rides with him and the footage is quite awesome for someone who has not had it for that long. Guys, the HD170 is by far one of the BEST gadgets I have ever bought! Also wrt some feeback on that suction mount you recommended... it is awesome! Some really rough gravel roads that we have traveled so far, with the camera mounted proudly on the bakkie... had produced some really memorable & interesting video footage of our trips... so far!

Wednesday, 5 days before Christmas. Johan and I went to Bavarian to get the GS tyre fitted. I see in one of the glass boxes an action camera. Mmmm good gift for hubby! Under his nose it got bought and put in the car.
That evening Dorothy phoned and mentioned she didn't have a clue what to get for Dave. She also thought the Drift camera would be an excellent gift but how on earth were we going to get a camera down to Plett in 2 days before the couriers stop? Action Cameras were advertising free delivery in SA on their website. Bingo! I ordered it. Later that day after returning from the golf course I see an email from their courier stating the delivery day as the 28th of Dec (after Christmas!!)... Oh oh!
On the phone to the guys at Action Cameras. I begged him to look for a post office with overnight delivery, and I was willing to pay whatever it took! He assured me that they would try their best and will let me know. Now its about 15.30 and I start to worry. At 16.30 he phones me. No the post office is already closed.... and I thought this is very bad... BUT he managed to find a postnet and got it sent off. I didn't even need to worry about the postage costs - it was a Christmas gift from them to me :)
I am ecstatic, walking on cloud nine! Now if this is not good service.... I don't know what is!!!

I have to say a great thank you. I have not experienced such great service and efficiency as I have with you guys. I will be back again. Yes, there are some things that one can find cheaper on the net but with service like this - I would rather shop with you.
Example, I bought a Drift X170 for R1,600, you currently have it for R1,999. I had to wait nearly 2 months for it to arrive. I would now rather have got it from you and waited 2 days if I had to - but with delivery under 24hrs - I am impressed.

Just a quick note of thanks. I received my camera today, two days earlier then expected. It is normal in South Africa when ordering stuff, especially online, to have to make 100 follow up calls and emails, have to deal with hopeless service, and expect the item you ordered to be out of stock for months on end, or for your order to be lost, etc, etc.

Graham - Best advice is to call Action Cameras and ask them. They do Drift, GoPro & Contour and all the mounts + accessories available so they will give you the best advice as they sell them all. They have great after sales support on all products.
Peter - In my humble opinion the Drift HD170 is the one to get plus the service I received from Action Cameras has been great. They ship overnight from jo'burg to Cape Town. I have now bought two Drifts and a Muvi Atom.

ChrisB - I just wanted to do a quick post to concur with the other avcommers experience with Action Cameras. Earlier this week I decided to get an action cam and ended up dropping R7k-odd at Warrick for all sorts of goodies. I was in 2 minds between the Drift HD170 and the ContourHD and I visited his office and we discussed all the pro's and con's of each (he has demo models of all the cameras) and what my requirements were. I eventually decided on the Drift HD170. He is a very pleasant chap and his service is EXCELLENT! Highly recommended. A pleasure to deal with.

Posted on The Hub SA forum: I just bought the Drift Innovation HD170 Helmet Cam. It is a sturdy cam capable of 1080p resolution video and 5Mp still pics. Can't wait to try it over the weekend.
What really impressed me was the service from the supplier - Action Cameras in Randburg. I placed the order this morning at 8:30 and by 15:00 it had been couriered to me (in JHB).
Not often one gets such good service from an online supplier.

Posted on Wilddogs Forum: I was in the market for a video camera and was looking for something light that I can fit on my helmet. Was looking at the Contour HD 1080p, GoPro HD Motorsport Hero and the HD170 Action Camera. All more or less the same price and same video quality. After some homework yesterday just after 12:00, I decided on the HD170.
The only place I knew that sells the HD170 was Warrick from Action Cameras. I'm not always keen on buying equipment over the internet because of all the scams, so I decided that rather then place an order via internet, I'm going to phone Warrick and order it directly from him. I gave him a call, placed the order at about 13:00 on 29/09/10 and at 9:30 the next morning, I was standing with the HD170 in hand!
So if you're even in the market for an action camera, you can support Action Cameras, cause they actually deliver on what they promised with no hickups or problems at all.
Warrick thank you for the excellent service. I'm impressed.

Thanks again for wonderful service. I got my Go Pro on Friday afternoon at about 3pm. Am very stoked. Got to get into the water now and put it to good use. Shot again.
