Q: How do I know if it is in video or in photo mode?
A: There is a small LED light that sits above your right eye. This shines brightly in various colours; one colour represents video mode, another represents photo mode. When you are actually recording it will shine red.
Q: How do I operate the camera when I am wearing it?
A: There are two buttons on the top right of the camera. Two buttons means simplicity so that you don't get confused.
The first one turns on the camera when you hold it down for three seconds, it will beep to let you know that it is on (which can easily be heard underwater) and the LED light will shine above your right eye.
The camera is now on and is in camera mode. To take a photo push down the right button, it will beep to let you know that you have taken a photo.
To switch to video mode, push down the left button. The LED light colout will change to let you know that you are now in video mode. To start a video, push down the right button; it beeps and the LED flashes red while recording. To stop the video push down the right button again; listen for the beep and see that the LED has stopped flashing.
To turn the camera off you can hold the left button down again for three seconds. It is simple, especially after you familiarise yourself with the camera.
Q: Is there a screen on the camera?
A: Yes, there is a screen which shows you simple data such as how many photos or videos you have recorded etc. You can't view photos or videos on this screen and need to connect to your computer with the USB in order to do this.
Q: Is the camera mask ridiculously large?
A: It is exactly like a regular dive mask except for the extra bit
added to the top which houses the camera. You're never going to look
hot in a full wet suite but at least now you can look cool!
